Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026
This policy explains what information we collect across Techondo, the business platform, and Tlook, the consumer marketplace built on it, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We aim to keep things plain — if anything is unclear, our team is one email away.
1. Who we are
Techondo operates two connected services: the Techondo business platform, which businesses use to run their operations, and Tlook, a consumer marketplace built on top of it where shoppers buy from independent storefronts. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect about you, why we collect it, and the choices you have across both. It applies to app.techondo.com, techondo.com, tlook.com, the Tlook mobile experience, and any related services we offer (together, the "Services").
If you have questions about this policy, you can reach us at privacy@techondo.com.
2. The two roles we play
For data your business stores inside a Techondo project — inventory, orders, customer and partner records, and similar — we act as a data processor acting on your instructions. Your business remains the data controller: you are responsible for the lawfulness of that data, for having the rights to process it, and for your own privacy notice to your customers.
For data tied to your own Techondo account, and for data collected through Tlook — buyer accounts, orders placed on the marketplace, and marketing communications — we act as the data controller, as described in the rest of this policy.
3. Information you give us
When you create an account, subscribe to a plan, place an order, contact a seller, or otherwise use the Services, you share certain information with us directly:
- Account and business details — name, email address, phone number, password (or the sign-in token from your identity provider), and business identity or registration details we request for billing, payments, or regulatory compliance.
- Shipping and billing information, including delivery addresses, recipient names, and contact numbers stored in your address book.
- Order and payment details — what you bought, from which storefront, payment method used, and any notes you leave for the seller. Card numbers themselves are handled by our payment partners and are not stored by us.
- Preferences you set, including language, currency, saved storefronts, and notification choices.
- Messages and reviews you submit to sellers or post publicly on the marketplace.
4. Information we collect automatically
We collect limited technical information when you use the Services so the platform stays reliable and secure:
- Device and connection data such as IP address, browser, operating system, device identifiers, and approximate location derived from your IP.
- Usage data including pages viewed, products opened, searches performed, features used, and clicks. We use this to fix bugs, improve discovery, and detect abuse.
- Cookies and similar technologies for keeping you signed in, remembering your cart, measuring performance, and showing relevant content. You can manage cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
5. How we use your information
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
- Providing the Services — creating your account and project, processing orders and subscriptions, routing payments, and delivering products through our logistics partners.
- Communicating with you about order and billing status, security alerts, policy updates, and customer support requests.
- Personalising your experience — ranking storefronts and products that match your interests on Tlook, and surfacing the features most relevant to how you use Techondo.
- Improving and securing the platform, including detecting fraud, preventing abuse, debugging, and analytics in aggregate form.
- Sending marketing messages where you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time from the footer of any marketing email or in your account settings.
- Meeting legal and regulatory obligations, such as tax reporting, anti-money-laundering checks, and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account or project is active and as long as we need it to provide the Services. After an account or project closes, we retain order, transaction, and tax records for the periods required by applicable law (typically up to ten years for accounting and tax purposes). Business data in a closed Techondo project is retained according to your plan's data-retention settings, with an opportunity to export it beforehand. Other personal data is deleted or anonymised once it is no longer needed for a legitimate purpose.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can also ask us not to send you marketing communications. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@techondo.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by local law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
9. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring, and regular reviews — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
10. International transfers
Techondo is operated from Indonesia and uses service providers in other countries. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections) so your information stays protected wherever it is processed.
11. Children
The Services are intended for users aged 18 and over, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are material, we will notify you by email or with a notice in the app before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page tells you when the policy was last revised.
14. Contact us
For privacy questions, data requests, or complaints, write to privacy@techondo.com or reach our team via the Help section in your account. We aim to acknowledge every request within seven business days.
