Take an order through to delivery
Follow one order from the moment it arrives to the moment it is signed for.
Before you start
- An order in the queue
- A courier or delivery method set up
Steps
Review the order
Open Orders › Active. Check the items and the address, and confirm you can fill it from stock on hand.
Pick and pack
Mark items picked as they leave the shelf. Stock moves at this point rather than at checkout, so what the system says you have matches what is physically there while the order is still being prepared.
Assign a delivery
Send the order to Orders › Delivery and assign a courier. The courier sees only their own runs, with navigation to the address.
Deliver and capture proof
The courier marks the order delivered and captures proof — a signature or a photo. If they are collecting cash on delivery, they record it at the same moment, which is what keeps the money and the delivery from drifting apart.
Close it out
The order moves to Orders › Completed. Revenue is recognised, stock is settled, and the customer's balance reflects whether they still owe you.
What you end up with
A delivered order with proof attached, stock settled, and the money accounted for — with no step depending on someone remembering to tell someone else.
