Invite your team and set permissions

Give people access to what they need and nothing else, and require sign-off where it matters.

Before you start

  • Your team members' email addresses
  • A view on who should see money

Steps

  1. Invite people

In Settings › Team & Roles, invite members by email, or use Generate 6-digit join code for staff who are easier to onboard in person than over email.

  2. Give each person a role

Roles decide which modules someone sees and what they can do inside them. Start tighter than feels necessary: adding an access request later is a two-minute conversation, while discovering that everyone could see supplier costs is not.

  3. Require approval where money moves

In Approval, set policies for the actions that should not be one person's decision alone — a payment out, a credit note, a stock write-off. Those actions then queue for sign-off instead of just happening.

  4. Check it worked

Ask a team member what they can see, or review the roles list yourself. It is worth five minutes now.

  5. Keep a record

Activity Log holds who changed what and when. You will not read it most weeks, but the week you need it, nothing else answers the question.

What you end up with

A team that can do its job, sensitive actions that need a second pair of eyes, and a record of what happened.

Can't find what you need?

Tell us what you were trying to do. We read every message, and the questions we get here are what decide which guide gets written next.

So we can reply. We won't use it for anything else.
