POS
The counter — fast to use, and connected to everything else.
POS is for selling face to face without slowing down. It looks simple because it has to: search or scan, take payment, next customer. What it does underneath is the point — each sale moves stock, records the cash, and posts to the ledger as it happens, so the counter is not a separate world you reconcile at closing time. It also handles buying and returns, for the shops where goods come back over the same counter they left.
- Built for speed at a busy counter
- Stock and books update as you sell, not at end of day
- Sell, buy, and take returns from the same screen
- Price overrides recorded rather than silently applied
