Set up your product catalog
Get everything you sell into Techondo, with the stock you already hold and the places you keep it.
Before you start
- A list of what you sell, with selling prices
- What each item cost you
- Roughly what you have in stock today
Steps
Decide how you keep stock
Open Inventory › Storage Structure and describe where goods physically live — a shop floor, a back room, a warehouse with aisles and racks. You can start with a single location and add detail later, but doing it first means every product you add can be placed correctly straight away.
Add your first product
Go to Inventory and add a product. Give it a name, a selling price, and the unit you sell it in. If you buy in one unit and sell in another — a sack that becomes kilograms — set that up as a layered unit of measure so Techondo converts for you instead of you doing arithmetic at the counter.
Record what you already hold
Enter opening stock for each product along with what it cost you. Cost matters as much as quantity: without it, Techondo cannot tell you your margin, and your first profit report will be wrong in a way that is hard to notice.
Add the rest in bulk
For a long catalog, use Inventory › Bulk Edit rather than adding items one at a time. Get ten products right by hand first so you know the shape of the data, then bring the rest across.
Check the result
Open Inventory › Stock Overview. Total stock value should look like the money you believe is sitting on your shelves. If it does not, the cost figures are usually the reason.
What you end up with
A catalog you can sell from, with stock levels and costs that make every later number — margin, profit, reorder point — meaningful.
