Inventory
What you have, what it cost, and where it is.
Inventory holds your catalog and your stock, and it is deliberately strict about the difference between the two: a product is what you sell, stock is what you currently hold and what you paid for it. Every movement — a sale, a delivery, a transfer, a correction — is recorded rather than just applied, so a stock figure can always be explained. If you buy and sell in different units, layered units of measure do the conversion so nobody is doing arithmetic on the shop floor.
- Costing by FIFO or weighted average, feeding straight into profit
- Every stock change traceable to the transaction that caused it
- Storage down to aisle and rack, with QR labels where you want them
- Layered units of measure — buy by the sack, sell by the kilo
