Run a production batch from BOM to finished stock
Confirm a run and watch components leave raw materials and costed output land in finished goods.
Before you start
- A Bill of Materials defined for the product you're producing
- Enough raw material in stock to cover the run
Steps
Open a production run
In Production, start a run against the finished product's BOM and set the target quantity. Techondo checks the components are available before you commit stock to the run.
Confirm and consume
Confirming the run deducts every component the BOM specifies from raw materials, at the quantities the recipe calls for — no separate stock adjustment afterward.
Record actual output and scrap
Log the quantity that actually came out the other end, and anything that didn't pass inspection. The gap between planned and actual output is exactly your yield for this run.
Receive into finished goods
Good output lands in your finished-goods location in Inventory › Stock, ready to sell, costed from what the components in this specific run actually cost.
Check the run record
Production › Production Records keeps every run's inputs, output, and wastage — useful the next time you're pricing a quote and want to know what a batch like this actually costs, not what the BOM assumes.
What you end up with
Finished stock that exists because raw materials actually left the warehouse for it — and a costed record of exactly what this run took to make.
